Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 14, 2026
Honukeiki is a small, prototype family beach guide for Oʻahu. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how to ask questions about it. We aim to collect as little as possible.
What we collect
- Server logs. Like any web server, we log basic request information (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) so the site can run and so we can troubleshoot problems. These logs are retained for a short period and are not used for advertising or third-party profiling.
- Contact form submissions. If you submit a message via our Contact Us form, we record your message and (if provided) your name and email so we can read and follow up. We also log your IP address with the submission to help us deter spam. The email and name fields are optional.
- Newsletter signups (when wired). If you opt in to our family-picks email, we store your email address solely to send you that email. Today this is in a development preview mode and no email actually sends.
What we don't do
- We don't use third-party tracking, advertising pixels, or analytics-for-sale.
- We don't sell, rent, or share your data.
- We don't place advertising cookies.
Children
Honukeiki is information for adults planning outings with their families. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
Don't want any contact data on file? Don't submit a form or signup. Already submitted and want it removed? Use the Contact Us form (with the same email you used) and we'll delete it.
Changes
As Honukeiki evolves we may update this policy. We'll change the “Last updated” date above.
